As a general rule, if person A has authority over person B, it is not good for them to have a sexual relationship. It creates the possibility that person A will give person B special treatment. Maybe person B will feel compelled to grant sexual favours to person A fearing that otherwise person A will use their authority to undermine person B’s career in some way. Or maybe the relationship is entirely consensual, and person A and B love each other very much.
